I’ve lost count on the number of RSA Conferences I’ve attended at over the years and this year it was clear that the industry is evolving more rapidly, likely due to the ever changing speed and types of attacks and the expanding attack surface.
As usual, the exposition floor was packed at the RSA Conference this year, hosted in San Francisco’s Moscone Center from May 6-9. With over 40,000 attendees from over 130 countries, it is a who’s who of cybersecurity luminaries, thought leaders, and experts sharing their knowledge with the community.

The Seceon team was fortunate enough to partner with our friends at Liongard for the conference. From there, we had a front-row view of the bustle and organized chaos of the conference’s Expo Hall. Hosting a dizzying array of vendors, government agencies, and even MSPs, the the sheer creativity on display was often as awe-inspiring as the innovations shared.

Many have asked our team – what are the big “themes” of this year’s event – here is an unscientific list:

If you were on the lookout for me, you might have spotted me on stage at the RSA Sandbox. The Sandbox speaker track is a microcosm of its own at RSA, offering talks on the latest technology as seen in the talk, “RFID – Flippers and Access Control” and sober industry talks like the, “CEO Panel: The Entrepreneur Journey to Scale” which offered the combined insights of decades of experience from founders and funders of the cybersecurity industry.

For many practitioners, the RSA Conference is a family reunion. From the Cybersecurity Marketing Society’s Party for Cyber Marketers, to blow-out bashes hosted by Seceon integration partners like Zscaler and Crowdstrike, to the chill-out lounge where we caught up with friends at Halcyon and the networking event hosted by our friends at CompTIA, RSA is a place where the community can work hard and play hard, reconnecting with friends, colleagues, clients, and partners.
Other activities the Seceon team was involved in included Monday’s event with the largest group of cybersecurity VCs/PEs—the 19th Annual AGC San Francisco Cybersecurity Conference at the Hibernia. Imagine a grand old beautiful bank filled with 100+ VCs/PEs and 150 cybersecurity ecosystem vendors who are considering their first next round of funding.

Our co-founder and CEO Chandra Pandey and our team, including William Toll, VP of Marketing and Abhishek T, and myself, met with dozens of partners and customers. It was great to hear how they are maturing their security operations program and protecting their organizations against today’s threats.

What about you? How was your experience at RSA 2024? And will we be seeing you there in 2025?
